What to Do With This Week’s Farm Box (Memorial Day Edition)
Memorial Day weekend always sneaks up on me a little. One minute it’s “spring,” and the next you’re digging camping gear out of the garage wondering why everything smells faintly like sunscreen and smoke. This week’s box feels made for that. Crisp things, grillable things, vegetables that actually taste good enough to keep the meal simple. No need to overdo it. Nature already handled the ambiance. It’s the kind of lineup that doesn’t need a big plan. It just easily turns into meals if you give it a little attention. Roasty things, herby things, a few solid staples that actually carry you through the week. Just dependable, good food. What’s in This Week’s Box Carrots Lacinato kale Cauliflower Basil Green cab

What to Do With This Week’s Farm Box (Spring Onion, Beets, + Patty Pan Squash)
We planted a garden this week. Not a farm garden. A personal garden. With my daughters. Which, as it turns out, is a completely different experience. I had a plan. Rows, spacing, some sense of order. They had… enthusiasm. Seeds were tossed, not planted. Lines were optional. And I’m fairly certain we stacked multiple crops into the same exact spot like it was a group project. Also, most of the seeds were past their “best by” date, so we’re already leaning into uncertainty. It
